Background:The TCCC project is an avenue for the collection of funds for a number of activities. There is no one contract under which all efforts are conducted; rather, the funds are collected and used to pay for various contracts for course development, curriculum development, or support services.
Objectives:To facilitate management of the Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council (TCCC) at the national level and for the development of curriculum and core training materials identified by the TCCC panel. The attached problem statement for the study provides additional details.
Scope of Work:This 5-year effort will include the following activities: 
 
* Core curriculum materials will be identified under the direction of the TCCC and developed under an FHWA National Highway Institute contract to address national and regional needs. 
 
* Promote uniformity in training content and qualifications requirements. 
 
* Advocate the dissemination of information among training and certifying regional and industrial organizations. 
 
* Encourage the development and improvement of AASHTO standards and maximize their ussage in training developement. 
 
* Share information on the growth and development of reciprocity among industry and State work forces.
