Background:Every 3 years, a triennium agreement is developed among the supporting members of the TRB, including FHWA and the American Association of State and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), which outlines the TRB core program for that period and includes a 3-year budget.
Objectives:To provide a mechanism for State transportation departments to support the TRB's core program and services.
Scope of Work:This pooled fund study permits States to make their contributions to the TRB Core Program instead of sending their contributions to TRB directly. Consult the attached spreadsheet for the amount for individual States.
Comments:Commitments for TRB fiscal year 2006 (July 1, 2005 - June 30, 2006) should be made before March 15, 2005, and obligated by May 15, 2005.

Some of the participating States in the first year of the triennium have also made commitments for future years. This has resulted in a higher number for "commitments received" compared with "commitments required."
